CONSTRUCTION MINERS

LOCATION:  Val d’Or, Quebec

Currently, we are seeking 16 CONSTRUCTION MINERS to join our growing team.  Individuals selected for these positions will be required to provide a full range of construction services while working according to work procedures and company policies ensuring efficient operations within a safety-conscious environment.

Requirements:

• Quebec Module 7 for Underground or Ontario Common Core plus Quebec Module 1.
• Excellent verbal and oral communication skills (English and French)
• Experience in the underground mining industry would be a definite asset.
• Covid vaccinations (both vaccinations or the first vaccination and going for second)

Key Responsibilities:

• Scaling and doing pre-operation inspection of work-site.
• Install ground support with hand-held equipment when required.
• Apply shotcrete (dry).
• Install/build ventilation control walls.
• Install fans and ventilation ducts.
• General carpentry and concrete finishing.
• Install and maintain mine services (air, water and pumping).
• Install/build pumping installation (dams, stationary pumping stations, weirs, etc.).
• Install bumper block.
• Build general mine infrastructure (refuges, ESS, storages, mags, ventilation door, shops, etc.).
• Support Construction Supervisor by doing site inspections, QA/QC, establish methodology in construction context, etc.
• Contribute to and establish workplace relationships.
• Any other job-related duties

Wage Rate:

• $22.00 to $24.00 per Hour – Hourly Bonus $25.00 to $27.00 per Hour
• 2×2 Work Rotation; 12 hours per day
